The location offered was beautiful so close to the lesser known Forest of Bowland, a spotless establishment and Clitheroe. The staff were amiable all the time.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay for a business trip, everything was modern. The staff was very amiable and attentive and the host too. Last time I stopped, had well-equipped and beautifully decorated room with a quality shower. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales and a nearby cafe.

The lodge's remote location offered fine views of the surrounding garden. Matthew and Helena were accommodating, we felt right at home throughout our visit.

Couples seeking a great escape
The cooked breakfast was amazing, made from locally sourced products, and we also enjoyed some lovely little touches in the room like chocolate biscuits which we devoured after the wedding. The owners Matthew and Helena were genuinely cute, helping us feel at home while they catered to our every need.
It wasn't inexpensive, but the experience was worth it.

Had the most enjoyable stay with fantastic home-cooked food that felt like a warm hug after a long day. I loved relaxing on the porch with a beautiful view and also enjoyed the cozy charm of my room. Just a couple of small plaster cracks here and there, but it really didn't tarnish the experience at all. 😊

Perfect getaway for couples
The breakfast was to die for, I mean the freshest local produce you could ask for, and the bed in our room was massive, one of the biggest I've ever slept in. Matthew and Helena, like family, even had a little gift waiting for us!
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but almost worth every penny.
